EC + TKL + H87 spacing multilayout = a perfect combo

Using a Realforce R1 or R2 TKL is a pleasing experience but what if you want to have a standard key spacing and don’t want to have big foreheads?

Before the EC TKL you didn’t have many options… well none at all. The main goal of the EC TKL is to develop the EC counterpart of Hiney’s H87 MX PCB, a well-known and reputable TKL PCB, used and supported in a multitude of boards.

The PCB has some common features as the MX H87, like snappable USB-C, daughterboard connection through the Molex Ez-Mate connector, and multilayout.

From there I developed the EC version in such a way that it has the smallest possible outline to be sure that the EC assembly isn’t compromised and keeping the USB-C connector in the same relative position as the MX version. The outline is slightly bigger than the MX H87 but it’s a manner of some millimeters. This allows case designers to reduce the case design complexity.
