Magnets, how do they work?

Commissioned by MONOKEI.

The Kei v2 is the successor of Kei, MONOKEI’s take on the 60% and 65% layout.

It takes the original Kei v1 concept and brings it up a notch with the addition of the 65% layout option to the mix.

The customizability of the board is a key aspect that the v2 brings to the table, having a magnet system that allows the swap of the top and bottom case based on the preference of style and material.

Thanks to the spark of interest in the EC scene, the great folks at MONOKEI reached out to me asking for PCB work on the 60% and 65%.
The result is an ecosystem that can give the users a great customer experience not only from a case design POV but also a great choice of PCB and layout support.
